Salvia 'Violet Riot' is an improvement over 'May Night'. It has a more concentrated show of vivid violet blue color on denser, well branched plants and neater upright flowering stems.  The sphere-like mass of panicles is a riot of color, with deep purple calyxes and lighter cobalt blue blooms that will light up the border, meadow garden, or container beautifully.
