Commonly called Japanese Pachysandra, this shrubby, evergreen ground cover forms a dense carpet or green foliage. Its oval leaves appear in clusters at the end of the stems and tiny white flowers in spikes bloom in the early spring. It's best grown in medium moisture, well-drained soils in partial to full shade. It's dense enough to keep down weeds and is perfect for mass plantings under large trees in a shady location where little else thrives.
